Post: Administration Officer – Counter Corruption Unit (CCU)

Salary: Scale 3 / 4 – £23,121 – £27,351

Hours: 37 hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: Near Wynyard


Applications are invited for a position of Administration Officer within the Directorate of Standards & Ethics based near Wynyard.


An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within Cleveland Police’s Counter Corruption Unit. The Administration Officer – CCU is responsible for the provision of administrative support to the overall management of the Counter Corruption Unit, including the maintenance of case management systems, communication with staff and officers, research of systems and administrative support for CCU processes.


The post holder will input and maintain casework data on CCU systems and other departmental management systems, as well as act as a system administrator for Centurion, trouble shooting, monitoring and where necessary reporting faults.  You will prepare correspondence to complainants, staff and officers, and also provide a high level of customer service to members of the public and internal staff, responding confidently, promptly and efficiently to queries.


It is essential that the post holder has experience of maintaining databases, working with a high degree of accuracy, often to tight and conflicting deadlines whilst being able to prioritise tasks effectively.  Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal sensitively with information is also essential.
