Brief overview of the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a well-established glazing company based in Stockton. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator both verbally on the telephone and in any written correspondence. Previous administrative experience is not required as full training will be provided.
What will the apprentice be doing?
In this role you will be assisting the administration team with ensuring the business runs smoothly.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day email inbox via Microsoft Outlook.
- Answer and deal with telephone enquiries from customers.
- Book in customer appointments for site inspections.
- Managing a diary for appointments, meetings etc.
- Update internal records of new, active, and complete jobs.
- Assist Operations with bookings and other general duties.
- Create and send estimates/quotations to customers.
- Photocopying.
- Scanning.
- Taking notes.
- Creating purchase orders.
- Any other appropriate duties required by Management.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Level 3 Business Administration at Stockton Riverside College.
- Functional skills Maths & English, if required.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
The apprenticeship is for 18 months with a full-time permanent contract-based position available at the end.
Working week
40 hours, Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm.
