Brief overview of the role
TekBuild – The primary responsibility is to assist the Accounts Manager with the Financial Management of the company. The successful candidate will be assisting with preparing financial reports and forecasts, as well as inputting sales and purchase invoices onto the company accounting software.
What will the apprentice be doing?
In this role, you will be representing TekGroup and protecting the organisation’s interests at all times, monitoring the TekGroup mailboxes and helping with any admin tasks.
Some of the duties include:
- Assist with monthly CIS Returns
- Expense forms for employees
- Petty cash maintenance
- Bank account reconciliations
- Raising sales invoices
- Inputting purchase invoices
- Basic administration
- Profit and loss maintenance
- Balance sheet support
- Asset management
- Credit control
- Credit card reconciliations
The job description above is primarily to service the needs of Tekbuild Ltd but similar duties may be required for any partner companies. Other reasonable duties as requested by the Accounts Manager and Managing Director.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Level 2 Accounts/Finance Assistant at Stockton Riverside College.
- Functional Skills Maths & English, if required.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
An opportunity for a full-time position at the end of the apprenticeship.
