Brief overview of the role

New Walk Property Management – To support and encourage individuals to maintain and develop their ability and confidence in managing and securing independent tenancies. Supported Living provides flexible support to an individual to take a central role in decision making. The focus is on leading the person to use natural supports in the community.

Key Responsibilities
To support people to grow and increase their independence by:
  • Supporting them to learn skills for daily living.
  • Making sure they learn other skills that support them to be part of their community.
  • Supporting them to make decisions and choices. Encouraging them to have cultural
  • experiences.
To support people to stay healthy and well by:
  • Meeting their day to day health and medical needs.
  • Maintaining a safe environment.
  • Helping them to plan and achieve their goals.
  • Making sure they can be part of a family and have relationships.
  • Helping them to make positive choices about their lifestyle.
To support people to connect with their communities by:
  • Developing and maintaining community links.

Working week

  • 37.50 hours, Monday – Friday (Hours to be confirmed) Some evenings and weekends.

Desired qualifications

  • GCSE maths and English A*-C / 9-4 or equivalent

Things to consider

  • All employees will be required to complete a DBS before their start date.

Training to be provided

  • Level 2 Adult Care Worker Diploma
  • Functional skills maths and English, if required
