Job Description

Are you switched on to the latest labour market trends in graduate recruitment?

Are you passionate about enabling others to succeed and reach their potential?

If so, the Assistant Director, Student Futures role at Teesside University may be for you.

This role sits within the Student and Library Services Department and as a member of the Senior Management Team will report to the Deputy Director, Student Futures. As such the post holder will play an integral part in driving forward a holistic, student-centred approach to delivering the best possible provision for students.

Together with the Deputy Director, this role will lead the Student Futures portfolio to deliver an inspiring, agile, and enterprising service to meet the needs of both students and employers.

We are not fixed on the successful candidate having a background in a Student Careers Service, this role may be of particular interest to recruitment or development specialists who are wishing to use their talents to make an impact in a higher education setting.

We are however fixed on seeking an individual who is aware of the policy landscape in higher education and has a track record of innovation and leading a team to deliver results. This individual will need the confidence and gravitas to partner with colleagues from across the University and key recruitment partners externally.  Taking these ideas and your influence you will take a creative approach to developing a plan which will articulate how the university can fill graduate skills shortages across the Region and beyond to meet the changing labour market demands.

The way in which you lead is just as important as the deliverables, we are seeking a collaborative, emotionally intelligent leader who can instinctively pick up on the nuances of how teams and businesses operate.

Does this sound of interest? If so, we look forward to receiving your application. For any informal enquiries please contact p.a.sls@tees.ac.uk
