Job Purpose
The Box Office Assistant is responsible for playing a key role in communication between ARC and its visitors. Within the Box Office, they will act as the first point of contact for all visitors to ARC, providing a warm and friendly welcome, selling tickets and sharing information about the centre and its programme of events and activities.
Key Duties
- To deliver fast, efficient ticket sales to all customers using ARC’s Box Office system (full training will be given).
- To ensure that all customers receive a high standard of customer service.
- To process ticket sales and reservations for personal callers via telephone, online and email, ensuring the correct procedures are followed at all times.
- To deal with general enquiries about ARC and its facilities, and to pass callers on to other members of staff as necessary.
- To report immediately to the Box Office Supervisor, Customer Services Manager or Duty Manager any customer problems or disputes, financial discrepancies or other significant matters.
- To assist with telephone sales campaigns, maintaining detailed records of such campaigns.
- To update the Customer Relationship Management system as required.
- To read and work within ARC’s policies and procedures, including the Staff Handbook, Safeguarding Policy, Health and Safety Policy, Equality Policy and General Data Protection Regulation.
- To undertake any training as required by ARC.
- To act as a full team member within the department and contribute to the life of the organisation as a whole.
- Any other duties as may be required as part of the Box Office Assistant role.
