What will the apprentice be doing?

Essential functions and basic duties:

  • Managing incoming and outgoing mail
  • Dealing with telephone enquiries from clients and other sources taking comprehensive messages for passing onto relevant department/person efficiently
  • Ensuring working files are in accordance with requirements and kept in a tidy and orderly fashion
  • Ensuring diary system is kept up to date both manual and computer systems
  • Compiling client database, updating same when necessary
  • Filing
  • Photocopying/scanning and emailing
  • Faxing when required
  • Providing admin support to other departments as and when required
  • Undertaking any other additional duties appropriate to the role as required to support the business.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Full-time role available to the right candidate.
