Job Description

Dormanstown Primary School are excited to be looking to grow their team. They are in search of an individual that has a keen interest in the business sector and a great eye for detail. The successful candidate will work towards the apprenticeship Business Administrator L3 Standard.

What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Provide clerical and administrative support to Senior Leaders and other staff to support the administration function
  • Maintain manual and computerised record/information systems.
  • Operate school office equipment e.g photocopier/stapling, collation of documents
  • Admin support with Pupil Admissions (Pre-school/Nursery/Reception)
  • Use Microsoft and email packages/create correspondence letters as directed by Senior Leaders
  • Update School Website
  • Undertake typing, word-processing and IT tasks
  • Complete and submit forms, returns for DFE
  • Assist with the planning, monitoring and evaluation of budget
  • Escorting pupils and visitors through the school
  • Booking coaches for trips and visits

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship Standard.
  • On and off the job training
  • Day release at College/Training Centre

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

  • Once this apprenticeship has been completed – the candidate will be qualified to start applying for Business Administrator positions that include various titles. Example: Admin assistant, Admin Support, Administrator etc.
