Derwentside College’s Business Development Team have developed long-standing relationships with a range of leading employers across a variety of employment sectors both in the North East and nationally and as such, we are fortunate to be training some of the country’s most talented Apprentices.  As a result of our continued growth, we are now seeking to recruit a dynamic individual who has extensive experience of working in learner recruitment within a FE college or for a private training provider.

What you will do?

As a successful Business Development Consultant, you will have a proven track record in sales and the business generation of apprenticeships, which will see you play an instrumental role in the College’s apprenticeship growth strategy.  You will also have significant experience of the quality and compliance aspects of this provision.  With exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and with the self-motivation to find and win new clients, you will work with both new and existing employers to manage relationships to a very high standard.  You will also be results driven with the ability to work under pressure to meet targets, as well as having a strong business acumen and a high level of personal integrity.

This is a permanent, full time post.  Regional travel will be required as part of the role; therefore, use of your own transport, a current valid driving licence and business insurance is essential. Starting salary will depend upon an individual’s level of experience.
