An exciting opportunity to join Teesside University’s Grow Tees Valley business support team and support and drive the delivery of key business engagement activities across the Tees Valley targeting company growth and new product development this role will contribute to the University’s business engagement and knowledge exchange offer, ensuring that clients obtain maximum benefit from the University’s expertise and networks.
This role will work with business facing colleagues across the University and key stakeholders in the Tees Valley to engage small to medium sized enterprise clients, diagnose and assess growth and innovation needs, providing a referral route to appropriate support, training, research and innovation expertise and grant funding. Grow Tees Valley offers a range of support options for eligible SMEs including grants for growth (Grow Spark Vouchers), academic supported internships (Graduate Associate Placements), peer to peer leadership and management learning (Leading Growth) and access to external and internal expertise.
The Grow Tees Valley initiative is a part of a range of funded programmes developed and delivered by the University which support innovation, product development and knowledge transfer which target sustainability and growth across the Tees Valley economy, including the Digital City, Industrial Digitalisation Technology Centre, Net Zero Industry Innovation Centre, National Horizons Centre and Tees Valley Hydrogen Innovation Project.
