About the employer

EDA Learning and Development will employ you on behalf of this employer We are an Apprenticeship Training Agency who support and guide you whilst you are completing your apprenticeship within the Branch Location. As a Customer Sales apprentice, you will be working in sales department of the business, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone like you to start your career in the Electrical Wholesale sector. The role will be based in the Sales office/ Counter.

What will the apprentice be doing?

We are looking for a highly motivated apprentice to join our busy branch. After full training, responsibilities will include:

  • Process customer purchases/orders via the computer system
  • Liaising with other departments
  • Customer payments/dealing with enquiries over the trade counter
  • Sales calls to customers and suppliers
  • Answering the telephone to customers and suppliers
  • Sales Data input
  • Basic sales administrative tasks (emailing, faxing, and using data spreadsheets)

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

As an apprentice you will complete a Customer Service Level 2 qualification with a national Training Provider. Your apprenticeship Training will focus on your job, is completed at the workplace, and you will be allocated a tutor and a study session in your working week.

Components of the Customer Service Level 2 Apprenticeship

  • Competence/Knowledge based qualification
  • Functional skills – maths/ English (if required)
  • End Point Assessment – Final Knowledge Test, Project and Discussion
