Post: Enhanced Force Contact Officer

Salary: Scale 5 / 6 – £24,576 – £29,331 (plus up to 20% shift allowance and weekend working enhancement)

Hours: 37 hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: Cleveland Police Central HQ, Hemlington, Middlesbrough


Applications are invited for the post of Enhanced Force Contact Officer based at the Community Safety Hub in Hemlington.


Within this role you will be responsible for delivering a 24/7 intelligence gathering, collation, evaluation and briefing support function to the Force Incident Manager (FIM), in relation to major, critical, golden hour and high risk events.


The role will entail the post holder to research force systems, and conduct research of internet related information (as appropriate) to generate quick-time, intelligence summaries for live and high risk events.  This information will be used to brief the FIM with key critical information to assist in decision making.


Applicants should have a strong understanding of THRIVE rationale and risk based decision making.  You will have the ability to work independently and think innovatively, as well as being able to assimilate information and make effective decisions.  Experience of working within a call handling or dispatch role is also essential.
