We have a new and exciting opportunity for experienced Groundworkers to join our Team.
About the Role
As part of your role, you will work as part of the team that carries out the initial and often the last site work on any construction project reporting daily to the Site Supervisor and Manager to ensure that work is completed safely, within budget and to the client’s satisfaction.
Successful candidates will have experience in a similar role, possess a CSCS Card and be highly motivated, driven individuals.
Key Accountabilities
All employees are expected to understand their responsibilities and carry out their roles in line with the Company Management System, i.e. Compliance with our policies, procedures, processes and tools. In addition to enabling successful project delivery, this ensures that roles are carried out in line with our ISO and other accreditations, against which you may be periodically audited.
Key Responsibilities
Key activities for which you will be responsible include; creating access routes to the site, excavating, laying foundations for building works and constructing drainage systems. You may also specialise in kerbing, bricklaying, concreting, steel-fixing or formwork.
Operational
- Clearing construction site
- Digging trenches for foundations
- Setting up a site, putting up barriers, safety signs, huts, etc.
- Following all health and safety procedures
- Providing excavation support to other construction professionals
- Interpreting the use of drawings and specifications
- Laying pavements, kerbs and driveways
- Concreting sites
- Removing drainage and pipework systems
- Operating plant machinery, such as excavators and dumper trucks
- Preparing the ground/foundations to allow construction to begin
- Redirecting waterways and connecting pipes with existing pipework.

Experience and Qualifications
- Previous experience undertaking the role being applied for
- CSCS Card – Essential
- Relevant Construction Training / Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 – General Construction
- Time Served – Preferable
- Full, clean Driving licence advantageous
- Multiskilled – CPCS Qualifications at an advantage
