Job Description
Our client is looking for a proactive and organised Finance Assistant to provide essential support to their Finance Team on a 12-month maternity cover contract. Starting in mid-October and based in Redcar (Wilton) the role can be full or part time (3-4 days per week, with flexibility for additional hours during busy periods).
You will focus on a variety of financial tasks, including credit management, insurance renewals, and capital expenditure reporting.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Request and manage credit limits, prepare turnover declarations, and handle credit renewals with brokers
- Assist with insurance requests and renewals
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations of related GL accounts
- Manage capital expenditure, including sanctioning, reporting, and capitalisation.
- Process rebates, commissions, and approvals in SAP
- Support month-end tasks, including journal requirements
- Prepare and process credit card statements and employee expenses in SAP
- Provide treasury support: follow up on AR collections, process vendor payments, and perform bank reconciliations
You will have:
- An AAT qualification preferred or equivalent practical experience
- Solid understanding of financial procedures, with hands-on experience using SAP and advanced Microsoft Excel and advantage
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy across all tasks
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with both internal teams and external partners
