Post: Forensic Technical Manager

Salary: SO 1 / 2 – £35,526 – £40,893

Hours: 37 hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: North Ormesby Police Station

 

Are you passionate about delivering exceptional forensic services and making a real difference? Cleveland Police is seeking an experienced and dedicated individual to join our Scientific Support Team as a Forensic Technical Manager.

 

The Scientific Support Unit at Cleveland Police provides the forensic investigation services to the force.  We are a dynamic team of specialists, providing services in Crime Scene Investigation, Forensic Laboratory Examination, Computer Forensics, Forensic Mobile Phone Examination and Digital Media Analysis.

 

This role is responsible for delivering Technical Management for the Crime Scene Investigation Team, so it is essential you have the relevant skills, abilities and background.

What Skills, abilities and Background are we looking for?

  • Crime Scene Investigation Background: Demonstrated experience in this field is essential, please refer to the essential criteria in the person spec.
  • ISO Accreditation: Working within an ISO 17020 or 17025 accredited environments.
  • Quality Management Knowledge: A solid understanding of Quality Management principles and the Forensic Regulators Code.
  • Team Player with Analytical Skills: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, with an enquiring and analytical mind.
  • Self-Motivated and Methodical Approach: Showcasing confidence and ability to introduce and manage complex change.
