An exciting opportunity has arisen for the newly created post of HR Support Officer.
We are seeking a dynamic individual to provide support and assistance to the HR Director and senior leadership team. You will be involved in delivering their strategic force wide aims, and in addition to this, where relevant, regional and national responsibilities.
You will be particularly suited to this role if you are highly organised with experience of co-ordinating multiple workstreams at once. You will have the autonomy to develop clear processes ensuring that they include accountability and monitoring tools within them.
This post will allow you to demonstrate your research abilities and HR expertise as you will be required to provide evidence based advice, briefings, presentations and reports with recommendations to inform strategy and decision making. You will be involved in work situations which require sensitivity and discretion, so candidates who can approach this with confidence and professionalism are particularly welcomed.
As an HR Support Officer you will work on your own initiative, managing and organising your workload to ensure programmes are scoped and delivered on time, and achieve the defined outcomes. This will be a varied role, which will allow you to work collaboratively across the force, including involvement with Legal Services and Standards and Ethics. Candidates who can demonstrate a problem solving approach, as well as creativity and flexibility in their working methods will be particularly suited to the role.
Although not essential it would be advantageous for applicants to have a CIPD qualification.
