Job Description

The IT function is key to the smooth running of our business, therefore, the ideal candidate will

have an interest in all aspects of IT, have strong communication skills, and be able to support

with a wide range of IT related activities, including providing technical support to the larger

team. This is a great opportunity to learn a range of new skills and assist in the delivery of

projects. Full training will be provided.

 

Roles and responsibilities include working with the Systems Administrator to provide first line

technical support to office based and remote working employees to resolve technical issues,

including liaising with external suppliers to co-ordinate the response, assisting users with

troubleshooting problems to diagnose and resolve any IT issues. Supporting with the delivery

of technical projects, such as on boarding new software, maintaining and the upkeep all IT and

telecommunications equipment including PC health checks, assisting the Systems

Administrator in providing users appropriate support and advice, working with the Systems

Administrator to set up employee’s workstations with computers/laptops, and undertaking

general administrative duties to support the IT department.

This role is office based.

Essential skills, experience and qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have an interest in IT, and a zest to learn new skills, have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, good attention to details. Good knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel and Outlook), strong analytical skills, the ability to learn new skills quickly, a positive and helpful attitude, and the ability to carry out basic troubleshooting would be an advantage but not essential, as full training will be provided.

 

Working pattern: Monday – Friday, shifts between the hours of 7am and 7pm, shift length will vary. 25 hours per week.
