Your role as a IT Support Technician will be integral to the success of this ambitious venture.
Our IT support team currently consists of three members who are responsible for managing the IT needs for SeAH Wind. In addition to day-to-day responsibilities, the current team is heavily involved in project delivery, including a full office move and the accompanying infrastructure installation.
This role is a new position and is responsible for supporting IT resources’ procurement, maintenance and management and providing technical support to internal users and will be required to provide a first-class customer service, to provide the best user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to internal users.
- Respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner.
- Resolves problems in response to customer/system reported incidents with trouble tickets, prepares error diagnostics and detailed problem descriptions for escalation and handover.
- Monitor system performance and suggest improvements.
- Manage user accounts and configure systems.
- Install and maintain hardware and software.
- Provide remote and on-site technical support.
- Document customer interactions and information.
- Identify and escalate issues to the appropriate team.
- Supports the delivery of the IT strategy and roadmap.
- Monitors and contributes to developing and standardising IT processes, policies and performance metrics.
- Supports improvements of the design, development, operation and support of IT systems.
- Collaborates with relevant departments to help align IT with strategic business objectives, prioritise projects and define timelines.
- Arranges the preparation of technical reports and presents status updates to management.
- Delivers basic network administration support and responds to IT events to enable higher availability of IT services, reducing the risk of technology disruptions.
- Assists with project budgets and IT asset utilisation, executing the screening and testing of current and new vendor resources and ensures that the IT team utilises the highest quality, cost-effective vendors.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Educated to A-Level or HND in relevant field (e.g. Information Technology or Computer science).
- Proven experience in IT, supporting a robust hardware and software technology infrastructure
- Desirable Experience: IT Infrastructure Management Experience
- Experience in IT architecture
- IT Vendor Management
- Knowledge of various operating systems and network administration
- Familiarity with TBM (Technology Business Management) framework principles.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
