Job Description

We have a new opportunity for a Lead Buyer to join our client based in Stockton.

 

This is a permanent role with an attractive salary and benefits package on offer working for a Company with over 25 years’ experience providing operations management, engineering services and energy management solutions.

 

The successful candidate will ensure goods and services are procured in line with the client’s policies and procedures, achieving value for money, along with engaging, developing and managing assigned reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinate with all sites to support general and capital and project procurement activities
  • Manage and develop contracts for goods and services
  • Comply with purchasing systems and procedures
  • Manage and maintain the invitation to tender processes
  • Develop contracts considering terms and conditions, structure, strategy and cross-site initiatives
  • Contract management
  • Contract process ownership including invitation to tender and post contract management

 

Requirements:

  • Member of CIPS(MCIPS) or working towards
  • Experience with contract development & administration
  • Knowledge of contract management
  • Previous involvement with project and capex purchasing support
  • Management/admin of invitation to tender processes.
  • Microsoft Office experience, creating documents in Word and formatting spreadsheets in Excel
