Apprentice CNC Operator for a Fire Door Manufacturers based in Hartlepool. You will undertake your Level 2 Furniture Manufacturing qualification.

What will the apprentice be doing?

Operation of a Biesse CNC machining centre:
• Measuring and marking out work pieces and product
• Programming
• Editing existing programs
• Operative maintenance processes
• Fault finding and resolution
• Operation of supporting production machinery (subject to training)
• Handling using mechanical aids
• Tool selection ( cutters, drills & saws)
• Reading and understanding technical drawings
• Adherence to quality standards
• Machining of vision panels, hinge recesses, lock bodies, keeps, spy holes, letter plates, intumescent grooves, joints and other processes
• Identification of timber species
• Material specifications and attributes
• General manufacturing operation

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

• Intermediate Level 2 Apprenticeship in Furniture Manufactring, including NVQ and functional skills maths and English. Work based learning.
