Job Description

You will report to the finance team, and you will play a key role in helping to ensure a smooth-running office. You will provide both clerical and administrative support to the professionals within our team and will play a great part in the coordination and implementation of the office procedures.

What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Provide efficient support to the Finance Team
  • Assisting the Finance Team with daily administration. Including, but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury management and data entry using Sage 50
  • Answering the phones professionally and dealing with the call where necessary
  • Liaise with other departments in the group and support them where necessary
  • Ad-hoc project work, with appropriate time frames
  • General Administrative tasks for the group, including but not limited too; photocopying, shredding, filing and organisation of paperwork and other office storage systems
  • Overseeing reception; greeting visitors, offering refreshments, monitoring of refreshment levels
  • Helping with the running of the building including making sure TVs are turned on in the reception and kitchen area. As well as opening windows on mornings on warm days and closing them at the end of the day
  • Setting up of the board room when monthly board meetings are held
  • Assist with Fleet Management

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Hours of Work: Monday – Friday, between the hours of 09:00 – 17:00-training will be incorporated into the working week
  • Training location will be at Brunel House, Brunel Road, Middlesbrough, TS6 6JA
  • Qualification upon completion will be Accounts Assistant Level 2

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

  • Upon completion there may be the opportunity for progression within the Finance Team
  • The opportunity to complete further qualifications e.g. Sage Accounts.
