Library Development Manager

Actual Annual Salary – £22,778 – £24,292
(FTE, £28,151- £30,022. Based on increments, starting salary £22,778)
A Library Development Manager is required to support the School in the provision of developing the Library provision, working across both Middlesbrough and Hartlepool campuses. The role is required to offer high-quality Library services for students and staff in order for them to maximise their potential and achieve their educational goals.
The role will involve:
- Developing the Library provision within the Academic Services Team to be an effective Art and Design Specialist Library;
- Planning for the efficient use of the learning resources to produce the maximum benefit for students and staff using the Library services;
- Line managing Library Assistants in their role of carrying out an effective service;
- Developing and devising new approaches to the services offered within the Library to ensure it offers appropriate Art and Design Library services; and
- Organising/delivering training and awareness raising for staff across the School.
Postgraduate Qualification in Library and Information Science or similar; or equivalent relevant professional experience is essential.
