Job Description
We have a new requirement for a Mechanical Engineer to provide services to our client based in Teesside on a LTD basis. Delivery of scope of works required to be within a 6–9-month period to ensure project deliverables.
Deliverables summary:
- Check designs for fitness for purpose, accuracy, compatibility with existing equipment and general quality
- Participate in design reviews and studies
- Review and comment against vendor documentation
- Check and sign off management of change supporting documentation
- Carry out field checks and agree punch list items
- Provide mechanical technical engineering input to answer technical queries
- Prepare technical queries to be sent to the EPCm Contractor or Vendors
- Action list close out management
- Specify and check spare gear requirements
- Prepare any new maintenance instructions for items of equipment
- Prepare maintenance plans and associated technical records for site requirements
Competency:
- Degree or HND Mechanical Engineering along with previous service provision in a relevant role
- Good knowledge and familiarity of client PEIs and previous provision of client standards and processes
- Expertise in engineering principles and practices in petrochemical sector
- Knowledge and application of pressure equipment directive and pressure system safety regulations and relevant codes of practice
- Microsoft Office competency including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of applicable codes, policies, standards, and best practices
