Post: Operational Support Team Leader

Salary: Scale 5 / 6 – £24,576 – £29,331

Hours: 37 hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: Middlesbrough – with requirement to travel throughout Force area (home / agile working also available)

Applications are invited for the post of Operational Support Team Leader.  In this post you will have responsibility for supervising the Enquiry Desk Team and the Central Cash Team.

We are seeking candidates who can demonstrate excellent leadership qualities in order to support the Operational Support Manager in delivering an effective, efficient and high quality service.  Candidates who have supervisory experience as well as experience of working within an enquiry desk / front desk environment are particularly encouraged to apply.

You will be right for this role if you are passionate about providing excellent customer service, and possess excellent interpersonal skills.  You will be the point of escalation for your team so the post holder must be experienced and confident in dealing with various issues related to working on the Enquiry Desk.  Taking a problem solving approach you will be confident in making effective decisions to ensure the smooth running of the service.

This is a varied role where you will supervise staff at Redcar, Middlesbrough, Stockton and Hartlepool and you will therefore travel throughout the Force area regularly.  You will be involved in various different forums representing the Operational Support department so will have the opportunity to communicate and work with various staff and officers through the Force.
