We are looking to appoint an experienced Operations Manager who will be responsible for defining, shaping and implementing key processes and systems related to programme management, and overall business operations. You would be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the Borderlands Project and support the Project Director through specific activities relating to the administration, finances and team and project management, to meet project aims.
You will support the Borderlands team on a day-to-day basis, to ensure effective delivery of major cultural programmes for Borderlands, and work in collaboration with the Project Director, creatives and our communities, to increase arts and cultural engagement and participation in Middlesbrough and Redcar & Cleveland. Borderlands wants to invest in promise, leadership potential and ambitions of our communities, demonstrate impact and leave a lasting legacy and a strong and enthusiastic operational lead is needed to ensure this.
We are looking for someone who has excellent interpersonal skills and significant experience of operational management and a passion for community based projects and impact. You will need to be able to work well in a team and have experience of project and people management, with a proven track record of budget management, reporting and project delivery through consultation and stakeholder engagement.
This is an exciting time for the right person to help to shape and deliver an exciting programme designed with and for the community and as Operations Manager, you would be key to community engagement, ongoing activity and overall success of this wonderful project.
The position we are filling is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and a satisfactory DBS disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service is required as part of our clearance procedures.
Important Note for Student Visa holders: As you are restricted to working 20 hours per week during term time under the terms of your visa you are not eligible to apply for this position as the weekly hours are 29.6.
