Post: Police Staff Accredited Financial Investigator

Salary: PO 1 – £38,007 – £40,950

Hours: 37 hours per week

Contract Type: 2 Year Fixed Term Contract

Location: Middlesbrough

 

Applications are invited for the post of Police Staff Accredited Financial Investigator.

 

We are seeking suitably qualified candidates to investigate complaints of money laundering, confiscation and detained cash investigations and the investigation of disclosures made by Financial Institutions.

 

The post holder will need to possess practical working knowledge of PACE 1984, POCA 2002 and Money Laundering regulations. In addition, PIP Level 2 Accreditation would be of benefit, although not essential.

 

This is a varied and rewarding role where you will be able to take the lead and initiative on numerous investigations, ensuring that work is prioritised appropriately.  We are seeking applications form candidate who can demonstrate they have excellent communication, investigative and interviewing skills.  You will need to possess an analytical approach as you will often be dealing with large amounts of data.

 

Although not essential it would be advantageous to be experienced in partnership working, as well as being competent in the use of Force computer systems.

The role of Accredited Financial Investigator requires that you have your fingerprints and DNA taken and these will be stored on the contamination elimination database.  This requirement is written in to your contract.

 

Personal Safety Training is a mandatory requirement for the role so successful applicants will be required to complete this upon appointment.
