The Security and Configuration Team in which this role is based is responsible for the support of the University’s cyber security controls. The team provides support for third party cyber security systems, advises on the provision of secure infrastructure and services, and ensures all University applications are appropriately secure and updated. It also supports the security aspects of in-house applications and developments within systems such as Microsoft Dynamics and SharePoint. Activity in this team is varied and challenging, well suited to someone who enjoys solving problems and researching innovative approaches to the delivery of secure and well managed IT services to a wide range of University staff, students, and partners.
As a Principal Technician (Device Management – Apple products) you will hold a degree level qualification in an IT related field of study or equivalent experience. You will have experience in an IT related field commensurate with the requirements of the role. The successful candidate will lead in the deployment, management and troubleshooting of programs, applications, updates and security patches throughout the University Apple desktops, laptops, and tablets.
It is essential that you have demonstrable advanced experience in the configuration, deployment and support of Apple products, particularly with the JAMF management platform as well as experience in the process of application packaging on the Apple platform.
