Job Description

Teesworks Skills Academy is delighted to be working with K2 Construction Management on the recruitment of an experienced experience Senior Site Manager to join their team. You will be working in Tees Valley working on the prestigious development of the UKs largest monopile manufacturing facility at Teesworks.

The main purpose of the role is to supervise all external works and building aspects to the construction project.

Duties

  • supervising and overseeing the direction of the project (or a package), ensuring that the specifications and requirements are met,
  • Reviewing progress and liaising with quantity surveyors to monitor costs
  • Liaising with the client, other construction professionals and, sometimes, members of the public
  • Coordinating and supervising construction workers
  • Selecting tools and materials
  • Making safety inspections and ensuring construction and site safety
  • Checking and preparing site reports, designs and drawings
  • Maintaining quality control procedures
  • Finding ways to prevent problems from happening and to solve any that crop up
  • Assessing and minimising risk on site
  • Writing reports and keeping on top of paperwork
  • Helping in negotiating contracts/ sub-contracts and securing permits and licences.

Qualifications

Our brief requirements are:

  • Minimum of 10+ years experience in construction site management roles on major projects
  • Technical diploma or degree in an Engineering Discipline or equivalent experience
  • Able to use Word, Excel software
  • CSCS Card
  • SSSTS or SMSTS
  • NEBOSH or IOSH (preferable)
  • First Aid
