Job Description
We are seeking a Tank Inspector (Visual Inspections) to support our client, a major UK operator of COMAH-regulated sites in Teesside and the Thames area. In this full-time permanent position, you will conduct 3-monthly EEMUA 159 inspections across its storage tank assets.
Key responsibilities:
- Conducting visual inspections of in-service tanks per EEMUA 159
- Raising and reporting defects, assigning criticality levels
- Liaising with Tank Assessors and operations for safe planning
- Reviewing QA documentation and verifying completed works
- Ensuring compliance with company safety and engineering standards
As Tank Inspector (Visual Inspections) you will need:
- ASME Level 1 Plant Inspector
- EEMUA 159 Intro Course
- Strong background in NDT methods (UT, MPI, RT, VT)
- Experience on tanks, pressure vessels and pipelines
- COMAH experience preferred
- Confined Space and SCBA training
- Full UK driving licence
