Job Description
The role of Technical Assistant is to primarily support the delivery of our outdoor family arts festival, Hullabaloo in the Park, as well as to provide technical support in our children’s theatre venue, The Hullabaloo. This is a new role that has been designed as an entry-level position for a capable and enthusiastic self-starter keen to develop a career in technical theatre and events. As part of this role, there will be structured training and learning opportunities.
We are looking for applicants who live, work and/or have been educated in the Tees Valley and who are at the beginning of their career in the arts & culture sector.
Typically, festival event days will be long and will be across weekends. There will be other regular weekend work supporting the delivery of events at The Hullabaloo.
The role is for 18 months starting from May/June 2023 and running up to October/November 2024 which will see the delivery of two festivals (July 2023 and July 2024).
