Job Description
This is a part-time management role with outdoor arts company Periplum CIC. The successful candidate will launch, promote and manage a new training programme for emerging creatives from across Tees Valley. The role will run from approximately October 2023 – November 2024, with potential to extend.
Context: From April-November 2024 Periplum will run its inaugural Creating Outdoors Training programme for Tees Valley emerging creatives. It will offer 20 participants of all adult ages the opportunity to take part in an intensive week-long residency and subsequent professional development activities including on-site work experience, one-on-one mentoring and a range of paid employment opportunities as part of Periplum’s North Sea Sirens outdoor project in 2024. The project will also include additional community participatory groups.
Our vision for the Training & Pathways Programme is to provide meaningful training and professional development opportunities for emerging creatives of all adult ages with an interest in outdoor arts. We are looking to build a network within the region and nationally which supports future professional development and career pathways opportunities for the programme participants.
The Creating Outdoors Training Programme has been funded by Tees Valley Combined Authority (TVCA). Associated development activities have been funded by Arts Council England.
