What is an Apprenticeship?

An apprenticeship is a paid job where the employee learns and gains valuable experiences. Alongside on-the-job training, apprentices spend at least 20% of their working hours completing classroom-based learning with a college, university or training provider which leads to a nationally recognised qualification. Is a Traineeship an option for me?

Traineeships are an excellent routeway into apprenticeships for those who require further skills or experience before applying for an apprenticeship position. Traineeships are available to young people aged between 16-24 (or 25 for young people with an educational health care plan). Tees Valley Wheels 2 Work is designed to provide an innovative way of overcoming transport barriers by hiring an electric motorbike to working age people in the Tees Valley for up to a six-month period, until a longer-term transport solution can be found.
