Hiring an experienced Process Safety Engineer to work for our Redcar based client who intends to become the world’s leading producer of recycled hydrocarbons, creating a circular economy for plastic, whilst helping to decarbonise the petrochemical industry and eliminate global plastic pollution. Working full time as Process Safety Engineer, you will cover all aspects of process safety, liaising across the company.
Your key responsibilities and role will include:
- Working with teams and clients to ensure safety requirements are met
- Leading process safety in all stages of projects and managing related studies
- Developing organisation-wide process safety policies and procedures
- Producing safety reports and understanding COMAH regulations
- Providing technical expertise and leading in incident investigation
- Having knowledge of the application of functional safety standards
- Liaising with teams to address and understand key risks of specific technology and its interface with the various regulatory regimes
You will have:
- A master’s degree in chemical engineering or post-graduate process safety qualification, and you will be working towards chartered status
- Significant prior Petrochem, chemical, oil or gas sector experience in a process safety role
- Demonstrable leadership experience
- Strong organisational and communication skills, a mature and responsible attitude and confidence to drive health and safety culture and standards within the team
- Willingness and ability to travel to meet projects and operations globally
