Brief overview of the role
Total Access Scaffolding are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking person to join their growing team as an apprentice scaffolder. The primary role of a Scaffolder is to provide access solutions or structural support allowing other trades to carry out their roles safely whilst working at height. General yard work, loading and unloading vans.
What will the apprentice be doing?
Duties and responsibilities:
- General yard work
- Loading and unloading vans
- Loading and unloading roll-on-roll-off bodies with forklift
- Passing materials to experienced scaffolders
- Organising and planning material for ongoing jobs
- Carry, raise, lower and use scaffold materials correctly and safely on a working platform
- Support scaffold protection fans according to requirements of current industry practice
- Follow all health and safety requirements
- Lay out materials, set out scaffolds and overcome obstacles to erect scaffolds safely
- Determine the materials required to set out, erect and dismantle in a safe sequence
- Return all materials back to the vans at the end of the day
- Any other duties as required by the business
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Level 2 Scaffolder at NETA Training Group
- Functional skills maths & English, if required
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
- An opportunity for a full-time position at the end of the apprenticeship.
Working week
30 hours, Monday to Friday, hours to be confirmed. Potential overtime.
