Job Description

Brief overview of the role

The Junction Foundation require a driven Apprentice Administrator who will be committed to learning the professional administrative skills and knowledge needed to support Junction services and to maximise the positive impact the charity has on the lives of children, young people and their families. You will be based within the Core Services Team.

What you will do in your working day

To support the Senior Administrator and Executive Assistant to work with children, young people and their families and to provide support for all aspects of the various services within The Junction. To work as directed by the Senior Administrator and Executive Assistant to carry out duties and provide support as directed by the Executive Assistant.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To support the Chief Executive and Deputy Chief Executive, where and when required.
  • To work to achieve positive outcomes for children, young people and families through administrative functions, enabling accurate and efficient communication, including excellent customer service skills.
  • Work as directed to support various meetings.
  • Provide excellent communications with all stakeholders as required, using telephone, ICT and written communications.
  • Support to the Chief Executive and Deputy Chief Executive by carrying out administrative functions including, but not limited to, diary management, responding to emails, assisting with report writing, minute taking, liaising with stakeholders etc.
  • Working in Teams.

This role will be both varied and challenging and duties will involve supporting the Senior Administrator and Executive Assistant with tasks that include:

  • Answering the phone.
  • Welcoming visitors.
  • Scanning, filing and photocopying.
  • General customer service.
  • Support the servicing of meetings.
  • Room and training bookings.
  • Event and social media support as required.

Other Duties

  • Undertake all work in accordance with The Junctions polices and practice including but notwithstanding Information Security, Health and Safety, Risk Management
  • Ensure that the highest standards of customer care are maintained at all times
  • Positively promote the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and ensure that that safeguarding is recognised as everyone’s responsibility.
  • Work and adhere to The Junction’s values at all times.
  • To undertake other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time commensurate with the post.

The training you will be getting

  • Level 3 Business Administration at Redcar & Cleveland College.
  • Functional skills Maths & English, if required.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

An opportunity for a full-time position at the end of the apprenticeship for the right candidate.

Working week

37.50 Hours, Monday to Friday, hours to be confirmed. They may require the occasional weekend or evening working from time to time.
