What you will do in your working day
- To assist the daily routine of the care home
- To assist residents in all aspects of their personal care
- To assist in activities
- To maintain good levels of housekeeping
- To maintain good levels of hygiene
- To assist residents with their mobility needs
- Team working
- To assist residents during mealtimes, this may include serving meals or supporting the individual to eat and drink
- Some recording of information into appropriate documents

The training you will be getting
You will complete the following qualifications:
- Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Care
- Functional Skills in maths and English (Dependant on GCSE grades)
- Care Certificate
Drop-in training sessions will be take place weekly at Darlington Borough Council Learning & Skills training centre (DL1 5AJ). Here you will develop the knowledge, skills, and behaviours to ensure these exceed the minimum requirements for the Adult Care Worker Level 2 apprenticeship standards.
